“Nâzım Hikmet’i Tanımak ve Anlamak Söyleşileri” (Getting to Know and Understand Nâzım Hikmet), a talk series devoted to the poet’s life and art, will welcome a new line-up of guests this season.
Organised in partnership by the Nâzım Hikmet Kültür ve Sanat Vakfı and Şişli Municipality, the first talk will take place at the Şişli Nâzım Hikmet Kültür ve Sanat Evi on Wednesday 25 October at 19.30.
The talk will trace Nâzım Hikmet through his socially engaged, realist and combative works.
The first speaker will be the poet and writer Şükrü Erbaş, with a talk entitled “Nâzım Hikmet’in Büyüklüğü” (The Greatness of Nâzım Hikmet).
They will be followed by the writer Eren Aysan on 22 November and, on 13 December, by the journalist and writer Zeynep Oral together with the Foundation’s Acting Chair, Özcan Arca.
