2 December “Müziğin Klasik Dokunuşları” – 4 December “Aşk Biter Mi?”
ENKA Sanat heads into December with a striking play and concert. On 2 December, the concert “Müziğin Klasik Dokunuşları” (Classical Touches of Music) will see Italian violinist Davide Alogna share the stage with Cana Gürmen, one of Turkey’s leading pianists, while on 4 December the poetry-woven play “Aşk Biter Mi?” (Does Love Ever End?) will meet audiences at the ENKA Auditorium.
ENKA Sanat will host two notable events at the ENKA Auditorium this week. World-renowned Italian violinist Davide Alogna and Cana Gürmen, one of Turkey’s most distinguished pianists, will take the stage on the evening of Tuesday 2 December with the concert “Müziğin Klasik Dokunuşları”. Having won the hearts of music lovers with their concerts in Turkey and Italy, the duo return to face İstanbul audiences with their rich repertoire. Promising an unforgettable night not only for classical music devotees but for anyone with an interest in the arts, the concert will offer moments both moving and exhilarating through the harmonious partnership of two masterful artists. This special encounter will once again make visible the strong bond between the two countries, forged through the universal language of music.
On the evening of Thursday 4 December, the poetry-woven play “Aşk Biter Mi?” will meet its audience. Directed by Işıl Kasapoğlu and one of the most talked-about productions of the year, “Aşk Biter Mi?” will draw theatregoers into a love story woven with poetry. Starring Kerem Alışık and Evrim Alasya, the play follows two former lovers who meet again after many years and, confronting each other, search for an answer to the question “Does love ever end?” Drawing at times on lines by Attila İlhan, Orhan Veli and Cemal Süreya, and at others by Didem Madak, Maria Misakyan and Sıdıka Su, the play brings the world of great loves and great poets to the stage. Telling of love’s many guises through poems and songs performed by Kerem Alışık and Evrim Alasya, it leaves audiences alone with their own loves.
Tickets are available from Biletix and the ENKA Sanat box office.
