The first trailer has been released for Martin McDonagh’s political thriller starring John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell, released in Türkiye as “Vahşi At Dokuz”. The film opens exclusively in cinemas on 6 November.
McDonagh, director of In Bruges, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Banshees of Inisherin, takes audiences to the eve of the 1973 Chilean coup. Veteran CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent from Santiago to Easter Island on a critical mission assigned by their bureau chief MJ (Steve Buscemi).
Working in the shadow of the island’s iconic Moai statues, the two long-time partners try to unravel the dangerous plots around them while confronting their own dark pasts. An unexpected bond between Chris and two rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) changes the course of events.
The cast also includes Tom Waits and Parker Posey.
