The poster has been released for “Artakalan”, the new film by Yeşim Ustaoğlu starring Öykü Karayel and Metin Akdülger. The film opens in cinemas on 20 November through a collaboration between MUBI Türkiye and Başka Sinema.
A MUBI co-production, the film follows Elif, a poet who is losing her creative drive and her joy in life, on a journey in search of the possibility of another life.
“Artakalan” had its world premiere at the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival, and its Turkish premiere was announced for the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Variety described it as having “captivating visuals and outstanding performances”.
