Bedük, known for blending electronic textures with live instruments, will present his new project ‘Silk Orient’ at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage on the evening of 7 November. He will be accompanied by a 32-piece big band conducted by Neyzen Özsarı.
Born Serhat Bedük, the artist topped the radio charts in 2008 with ‘Automatik’. ‘Silk Orient’, the result of around two years of preparation, takes him beyond his familiar electro-pop identity.
The project brings the grand orchestral tradition of the 1950s together with Anatolian melodies on the same stage. Its repertoire reinterprets songs from different eras and genres, from Hakan Taşıyan to Nirvana, in big-band arrangements.
‘Silk Orient’ is realised through a collaboration between P-Arts Company and Begstage Management.
